The most common questions about VOXPEERS – and how to reach us if anything is still unclear.

What is VOXPEERS?

VOXPEERS is an app that combines group intercom and navigation. You talk to each other live at the touch of a button and follow a route together – whatever your activity.

Which groups is VOXPEERS suitable for?

For anyone out and about together: cycling and motorbike groups, ski tours and hikes, running groups, guided groups and tour leaders, events and more. One app, many uses.

How much does VOXPEERS cost?

You start with the Start pack for a one-off CHF 4.50: 300 talk minutes and 5 VOXPEERS Tourist listener hours to use within 30 days – full navigation included. After that, choose Pro (CHF 4.90/month, 2,000 minutes per month) or Mega (CHF 9.90/month, 5,000 minutes per month). Extra minutes can be bought in packs. Details on the pricing page.

How does the group intercom work?

One press of a button – and everyone in your group hears you in real time. The audio stays clear and easy to understand, even with headwind, engine noise and speed.

Do I need mobile internet?

Live group intercom uses a mobile data connection. Tours and maps can be prepared in advance so you’re well equipped even where the signal is weak.

How do I plan a tour?

In the tours section, you create a route or import a GPX file, see the elevation profile and distance, and follow it on the go with voice guidance. After the ride, you get the analysis.

Am I allowed to ride with headphones?

Yes. In Switzerland, Germany and Austria, headphones are not prohibited when riding a bicycle, e-bike or motorbike. The condition is the same everywhere: you must still be able to perceive your surroundings – bells, horns and emergency sirens must remain audible. Legally, it makes no difference whether you use one earbud or two. Take care abroad: in France and Spain, earbuds in the ear are prohibited, while headsets fixed into the helmet are allowed. Holding and operating your phone while riding is prohibited everywhere – which is exactly what VOXPEERS is built to avoid. Please note: carefully researched, but not legal advice.

Which headphones are suitable on the go?

We recommend open headphones, models with a transparency mode or bone conduction headphones – they let ambient sound through. It’s best to switch off active noise cancellation (ANC) while riding and keep the volume moderate. Operate the app by voice or while stationary – that way you stay hands-free and safe on the move.
