Anyone who leads groups through an old town, a museum or along a mountain path knows the feeling: at the front everyone can hear, at the back only snatches get through. A bus drives past, a church bell rings, and by evening your voice is gone. With VOXPEERS Tourist you speak at normal volume – and your guests hear you directly through their own headphones.
The problem: your voice doesn’t reach the back
On a tour with twenty or thirty guests, the group quickly stretches out. Whoever is standing at the back misses half of it. Rental receivers help, but they have to be handed out, charged, collected and cleaned. And just when you’re about to start, one is missing.
How your guests listen in – in three steps
- Scan the QR code: you put up a poster, set out a table stand or wear a badge. Your guests scan the code with their phone camera.
- Plug in headphones: the listening page opens in the browser. One tap on «Turn on sound» and you’re ready to go.
- Listen: as soon as you start, everyone listens in live. Anyone who joins later simply scans the code.
What your guests don’t need
- No app: everything runs in the browser on their own phone.
- No account: no name, no email address, no sign-up.
- No rental device: their own phone is the receiver.
Your guests only listen – their microphone stays off. The listening page itself is available in five languages: German, English, French, Italian and Portuguese. It picks the language based on the browser and can be switched manually.
What you need as a guide
Your phone with the VOXPEERS app and headphones or a headset with a microphone. If you’re standing at a lectern anyway, for example in a museum or lecture hall, you can also start the tour from a computer in the browser.
- Codes: for each tour running at the same time, you create a separate code. Codes you no longer need can be switched off – the poster then simply stays silent.
- Print your own: credit-card-sized badges, lanyards, table stands and posters in A4 or A3 can be printed on your own printer.
- Large groups: up to 100 guests can listen in on one tour.
What it costs
VOXPEERS Tourist is not a subscription. Your guests pay nothing to listen. You buy listener hours in the app as a pack, and only what your guests actually hear is used – minute by minute. If you don’t run a tour, nothing is used. You’ll find the packs on the pricing page. To try it out, the VOXPEERS Start pack already includes 5 listener hours.
